Well, turns out I lied last week when I said the peas were done. I hoarded enough of them over the past 10 days to make a decent showing - and the beans are starting to come in so you'll get either beans or peas this week! And the tomatoes are ripening, so you are getting a mix of cherry and jaune flamme (small orange) tomatoes! There are a few mangy looking cucumbers to distribute. These cucumber have been valiantly fighting off cucumber beetles, so they should be chock full of good things for you (there is some evidence that when plants are fighting off pests and disease, they have more of the good things that help *us* fight off disease).
Oh, and I realized when cleaning up last Friday that I totally forgot to put the sage in everyone's bag. If it doesn't look too bad, I'll slip it in this week. Just be sure to use it up quick!
Anyhoo, in this week's share: lettuce mix, carrots, tomatoes, peas or beans, summer squash galore, spinach (for the greens folks), cucumbers (for some), garlic, and parsley.
